Seeds are Sewn

Joel Skavdahl’s SEEDS comics are finally being printed and they’re getting a deluxe treatment!

We’ll have pre-release copies available at both Comic Arts Brooklyn and Short Run this year, so come by and see them in their true splendor. These early copies do not yet include the mini-book that will come packaged with these comics, so we’re offering them for a discounted rate if you buy it now and we’ll mail you the mini-book as soon as it is printed.

For those who won’t be able to make it to either of these shows, we’re still offering pre-orders at a discount, but they will not ship until the mini-book is printed.

Slithering Sleep is HERE!

May I present… SLITHERING SLEEP!

Slithering Sleep
This has been an amazing project to work on, as it has slowly and mysteriously developed over the course of the last year to such an amazing culmination. Danielle is an amazingly talented artist and it’s really been an honor to work with her so closely to make this book. Slithering Sleep was made in a limited print run of 500 copies, and each copy is assembled by hand, with a seven panel centerfold stapled into the center of the larger book. A perfectly appropriate fit in that case for its premiere at the 3rd Annual Short Run Small Press Festival in Seattle. By the end of the show, we’d actually sold all the copies that we brought with us!

Slithering Sleep centerfoldOn the whole, Short Run is a great festival and it continues to be a really inspiring show for us to attend, as well as seeming to be growing more each year and turning into something really unique among those where we try to make a regular appearance. It was great to see folks caught by the cover of Slithering Sleep as they were walking past the table and get drawn in. Copies were flying off the table! This festival also seems to really showcase the strength of the community of creative people in the Northwest and it’s exciting to be a part of it! Thanks to the awesome organizers that make this festival happen – Kelly Froh, Eroyn Franklin, and Janice Headley. We’ll definitely be back next year!

Short Run 2013Short Run represents a cap to 2013 in terms of our festival appearances and releases, but it also means that we’ll soon be making some announcements about some of the projects already in the works for 2014, including the new planned release date for Poor Thing #2, which unfortunately had to be pushed back due to Drew moving across the country to the big city of New York. More to come soon!

Thanks for reading!
